How to Use a DEX (Decentralized Exchange)

Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) let you trade crypto directly from your wallet, without needing to deposit funds into a centralized platform. Here's how to use one:

1. Get a Crypto Wallet

First, set up a non-custodial wallet like MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or Phantom (for Solana).

2. Add Funds

Buy or transfer crypto into your wallet. For example, ETH for Ethereum-based DEXs like Uniswap, or SOL for Solana-based DEXs like Jupiter or Raydium.

3. Connect Your Wallet to the DEX

Visit the DEX website (e.g., Uniswap) and click “Connect Wallet.” Approve the connection in your wallet.

4. Select Tokens to Swap

Choose the token you want to swap and the token you want to receive. DEXs will show the exchange rate and estimated fees.

5. Confirm and Sign the Transaction

Click “Swap” and confirm in your wallet. Pay the gas fee (network fee), and your trade is processed.

6. Done!

You’ll see the new token in your wallet shortly after the transaction confirms.
